This presentation will highlight Active Allen County’s efforts to provide everyone living in Allen County access to healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity in places that they live, work, worship, learn and play. It will provide an overview of the group’s wok to implement broad, sustainable, evidence-based strategies that advance health equity and reduce health disparities.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the project director for the small communities transformation grant focusing on active living, healthy eating, tobacco-free lifestyles and high impact quality clinical services. I have experience in maternal and child health, community health, sexually transmitted diseases and cardiovascular health. My interest is focusing on reducing the incidence of chronic diseases among minorities.
