This session will provide the public health and CDC perspective on youth concussion. Dr. Houry will describe the development of a new CDC national strategy on youth sports concussion.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Director for the Center for Injury Prevention and Control. I teach several courses on violence and injury prevention at Emory. Her primary research interests are in the prevention of violence against women, mental health issues related to violence, and emergency care. I have been the Principal Investigator on several federally funded grants and has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on injury prevention and violence.
