ThIs poster session presents research that identifies personal, structural and institutional risk markers of perinatal health. It also presents programs designed to improve maternal health.
Session Objectives: Describe two structural risk factors for pregnant and parenting women
Discuss two policies or programs designed to improve maternal and child health outcomes
Evaluate the usefulness of a reproductive life planning workbook
Describe two neighborhood level risk factors associated with mental illness symptoms in pregnant women living in a post-disaster environment
Assess the reported health and mental health status of mothers and pregnant women incarcerated in a local jail system
Identify barriers to medication adherence among women of color with HIV who are currently using substances
Compare birth outcomes by maternal smoking status
Evaluate the effect of pre-pregnancy BMI on hypertensive disorders during pregnancy
