This session addresses the need for more effective maternity care strategies to improve maternal and child outcomes. It provides an opportunity to share and critique current innovative strategies designed to address local and national issues in maternity care. It also provides a forum for discussion related to the challenges providers and institutions face when implementing current evidence based clinical guidelines in maternity and community settings.
Session Objectives: Describe three innovative strategies that enhance delivery of maternity care. Describe three challenges related to the implementation of evidence based clinical guidelines in maternity care.
