The purpose of this session is explore strategies to address cultural competency in public health communication. Cultural competency in health communication is relevant and important to the successful translation of effective interventions to diverse populations.
Session Objectives: Describe the potential reach of the National CLAS Standards as a strategy for addressing health disparities.
Analyze the potential role of cultural competency training for health care providers in reducing healthcare disparities.
