The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been a major supporter of accreditation, quality improvement and performance management. CDC has also managed several related initiatives such as the NPHII grants, the ASI grants, and other similar initiatives. Results from those and other public health transformative initiatives will be shared.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Senior Advisor for Public Health Practice and Accreditation, Division of Public Health Performance Improvement for the Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, In that capacity, I work closely with national initiatives related to accreditation, quality improvement and performance management for health departments across the country. I am also the PHAB grants project officer and serve on many PHAB committees and work groups.
