This is an annual invited session, organized by the IH section, reviewing the work of the Global Network. We review advances in MCH research, with particular attention to neonatal and maternal mortality. Colleagues from the international partner sites as well as those in North America will provide a state-of-the-evidence overview on major issues of global concern.
Session Objectives: Discuss 2 major areas in global maternal & child health research Explain the major determinants of maternal mortality in developing countries Describe the work of the NIH-funded Global Network for Maternal & Child Health Research
