Learning from the Experts: A Career Development Session

This session, as a part of a mentorship program in Aging and Public Health, aims to provide opportunities for early-stage professionals and students to learn about career development opportunities from top experts in the field of aging, make connections, and exchange ideas. The session features experts in academia and government in the field of health policy, gerontological research, chronic disease management, and epidemiology. They will discuss how they achieve success in their academic career or as a grant official/director, and how they serve their profession as a leader.
Session Objectives: Demonstrate how to develop a successful career in academia, research, government agencies, and other settings. Demonstrate how to achieve one’s professional success as a leader.
