Global Health Students Panel I

Monday, November 2, 2015: 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Roundtable
The International Health Student Committee (IHSC) roundtable interactive event is organized around the theme of finding, pursuing, and excelling in a career in global public health. The target audience consists of IHSC members and public health students/young professionals interested in pursuing careers in global public health. Each table's discussion will be led by an established leader in one of the many subspecialties and sectors within the diverse field of global health. Formal presentations will be kept to a minimum and will consist only of opening and closing remarks in an effort to encourage open discussion between participants and moderators. IHSC’s career development webinar series has become increasingly popular. This face-to-face career development session has the added benefits of open Q&A, participant networking, and dynamic interaction with the speaker.
Session Objectives: By the end of this session participants will be able to: 1) identify mentors in the global health sub-specialty of their interest 2) discuss various pathways toward a career in global public health 3) formulate and design a path toward a career in global health
