Vision Care in the Future: LASIK, Workforce and Access

This session is designed to inform the audience of the issues that will affect vision care in the future. A discussion of the new refractive surgery procedure, LASIK, is designed to inform the public about refractive surgery and it's impact. A study of the workforce of eye care professionals will be presented. The future for optical care issues such as insurance, access will be discussed. Finally, the Healty People 2010 objectives relative to vision care will be summarized
