Malaria Control and DDT

This session will review the global malaria situation and review options for malaria control. The Roll Back Malaria Initiative will be presented. The controversy about the use of DDT for Malaria Control will be presented in a debate format to allow for a clear exposition of the issues. Malaria is one of the world's leading causes of mortality and morbidity and options for control have become more problematic as resistance to drugs and insecticides have developed
