This session will address the need for a systems approach to public health nursing in today's health environment. Models and developmental strategies will be proposed. Presenters will identify barriers and encourage organized advocacy to address them. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. Articulate the impact of public health nursing on health status and the need for PHN systems; 2. Describe the components of public health nursing system models; and 3. Discuss essential infrastructure requirements, including, funding, staffing, skilled management, documentation, quality improvement. | |||
