The American Public Health Association meeting is being held the week following the 2004 Elections during which races for the White House and the US Congress will be determined. The outcome of the election will pose vital opportunities and challenges for environmental health policy at the national level over the next four years. This session will engage four renowned DC-based opinion leaders in the public health and environment fields in a discussion of implications for environmental health policy. Participants will have an opportunity to engage the speakers in a lively and strategic discussion. Perspectives will be offered from former Clinton EPA Administrator Carol Browner, Shelley Hearne, Executive Director, Trust for America’s Health, Ken Cook, Executive Director, Environmental Working Group, and Anna Greenberg, Vice President at Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner Research. | |||
