New state level policy aimed at changing the diet and physical activity environments of schools will be explored during this session. The papers will present the specifics of state level policy, perceptions of its effectiveness and feasibility, and projections of the fiscal impact. A national evaluation of school-based policies will also be presented. | |||
Learning Objectives: 1. At the end of the session, participants will be able to describe state and national policy initiatives to change the diet and physical activity environments in US schools. 2. At the end of the session, participants will be able to describe key findings from California policy initiatives. | |||
