This session will feature leaders from the Foundation community as well as development organizations engaged in global and US health. Representatives from the World Bank, California Endowment, and Kellogg Foundation will present their views on the challenges facing public health and what is presently being done towards meeting them. The session is moderated by Dr. Michael Kremer of Harvard University, a leader in developing new ways of thinking about global health and development financing.
Session Objectives: To inform the APHA audience about the latest thinking in public health philanthropy and international development. To present a balanced discussion of the best ways forward for a healthier US and global population, from the above perspectives.
