Poster
The Genomics Forum’s poster session provides a broad overview of many timely, relevant, and important aspects of genomics and genetics research in public health settings. This will be a great opportunity to meet and network with public health professionals, while discussing their research. Research topics presented include, but are not limited to, genetic susceptibility to disease, gene-gene interactions, personalized medicine, issues surrounding genetic testing, and family history and genetic susceptibility. We invite all attendees of the APHA annual meeting with an interest in how genomics and genetics plays a role in public health to attend this dynamic and interactive poster session.
Session Objectives: 1.Identify how genetic variation may influence disease susceptibility. 2.Describe current issues associated with personalized medicine. 3.Identify current issues pertaining to genetic testing.
