Maintaining the security of patient data and protecting provider confidentiality, often with limited resources, is a major challenge in the widespread adoption of HIT. This session will examine these issues, relative to their impact on ehealth communication.
Session Objectives: *Discuss the major privacy and security issues related to the electronic exchange of personal health information. * Describe an impact of identity on perceptions and use of the internet for health.
