The presenters of this poster session describe eye health promotion programs which identify and ameliorate unmet vision care needs in at-risk populations. Strategies for developing viable local community partnerships are presented. The challenges of program sustainability and outcome assessment will also be addressed.
Session Objectives: 1) Identify populations at risk for unmet vision care needs. 2) Design community-based targeted interventions. 3) Evaluate methods for assessing the impact of these programs.
