This session will discuss the relationship between MDGs and reducing social inequalities This session hopes to make the audience aware of why attaining MDG objectives by 2015 are crucial in both the developing and the developed world. It will also attempt to stress the importance of cooperation between all sectors of society at various levels to achieve the MDG targets by 2015.
Session Objectives: 1. This session will discuss the role of MDGs in promoting social justice. 2. Examine the reasons for the lag in MDG targets in some geographic regions of the world. 3. Discuss how public health professionals can work to achieve the target of MDGs for all by 2015.
