Efforts to improve health from a population health focus is moving to center stage as national and international health authorities emphasize the value health promotion and disease prevention plays in improving overall health status. For some it is becoming a major driver in their approach to achieving health goals and, in some an expected engine to reducing health care costs. This session with examine the approaches selected national and international health authorities are using to approach health through this population based focus.
