Can issue-based “product placement” motivate consumers to think differently about a social issue or spark change? What are the latest trends and best practices in regards to integrating health issues into TV shows, ads, sports events or movies? And what kind of metrics can be used to measure success to ensure you’re making a difference. Join the Ad Council for a thought-provoking panel that will include senior level executives discussing the linkages between media and tackling critical social issues including how the Kaiser Family Foundation successfully embedded health messages in partnership with Grey’s Anatomy and how MTV’s 16 and Pregnant is changing the social norms around teen pregnancy. This fascinating talk will cover “how to’s” of content integration and give a behind-the-scenes view of writers and how they make storyline and programming decisions.
