This session aims to describe how various agencies have appoached the community health improvement process for accreditation. Topics discussed will include building organizational capacity and lessons learned from recent projects. The session is relevant as more agencies are moving towards accreditation.
Session Objectives: Discuss lessons learned from a national demonstration project of local health departments who utilized community health improvement processes for accreditation preparation
Describe how organizational dynamics and internal capacity within a local health department impact the implementation of community health improvement plans
