The First Prevention Trust Fund: The Massachusetts Experience

Session Objectives: Explain what the Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund is and how it functions, including where the funds come from and how they are distributed. Explain how building coalition through the ActFRESH campaign built the political momentum to pass such a comprehensive piece of legislation. Describe the importance and strategy behind using the ActFRESH members at the grassroots level to organize residents in communities. Describe the implementation strategy, progress, and challenges.
