This presentation will provide a short tutorial on using surveillance data for secondary data analysis, including strengths, weaknesses, and potential issues to address. A broad overview of resources for learning about and accessing public-use data at the local, state, and national levels will be discussed.  When possible, resources that focus on healthy eating, physical activity, and/or obesity will be highlighted.
