This presentation is designed as an introduction to NIH grants, with a special emphasis on mechanisms to fund secondary data analysis as well as new investigators. Its target audience is for students and  researchers new to the NIH grants process and interested in learning about potential funding mechanisms. An overview of NIH grants will be provided as well as some guidance for putting together an application and working with NIH program officers to submit a grant application.
