This presentation will cover my personal journeys to Vietnam in 1965, when I was at the 3rd Marine Division field hospital outside of Da Nang and in 1990 when I returned to Vietnam as APHA President. The documentation of the public health effects of the war and the US trade embargo from 1975-1994, it’s impact on Vietnam and the United States, and the APHA resolution to the lift the US trade embargo will be discussed. Personal photographs will also be utilized.
