Address the impact of health reform on health workforce in public health and safety net settings. It will address the potential impact on emerging health profession needs and solutions to address them. The presentation will include a proven framework and strategies for addressing immediate needs and building on a longer term pipeline of diverse health leaders and professionals.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the Associate Dean of Public Health Practice at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health. I have been a leader in workforce and diversity for the past 24 years. I serve as co-director of two state wide workforce and diversity coalitions as a consultant to the state of California on health workforce and the Affordable Care Act, and as president of the Health Careers Connection, a national nonprofit (healthcareers.org).
