This presentation will provide a national overview of the outreach and enrollment environment Latino consumers experienced during the first open enrollment period. Particular attention will be given to vulnerable populations, including low-income, Limited English Proficient, and mixed-status family consumers. Topics addressed will include the barriers consumers faced and efforts to address them; smart practices for Latino outreach and enrollment; and issues on the horizon as the next open enrollment period nears.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: As NCLR's Senior Heath Policy Analyst, I have lead the organization's ACA implementation work. Working with our Affiliate network, I have been engaged in implementation efforts in both State Based and Federally Facilitated Marketplace states. Through administrative advocacy efforts with the White House Domestic Policy Council, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and U.S. Department of Treasury, I have worked to resolve some of the more complex enrollment challenges facing Latino and immigrant consumers.
