Fighting for Fluoridation on the National Level: Lessons learned

Nationally, there is a strategy to assist communities on the local and state level to retain or implement fluoridation. Public health strategies and interventions to educate the public and decision makers that have worked will be discussed. |

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a public health dentist who has served as Director of the Division of Oral Heath at the CDC, during which time I was responsible for understanding the science base and promoting community water fluoridation. I now serve as advisor to the Campaign for Oral Health, a network of organizations whose mission is to educate the public about preventive strategies.
