The purpose of the session is to discuss the recently revised Department of Health and Human Service's fluoride level recommendations and its impact on the local and national level, and strategies to educate the public, the professions, and community leaders.
Session Objectives: discuss the scientific information and rationale for the new HHS fluoridation guidelines.
describe, assess, and repudiate new and common anti-fluoridationist arguments.
identify and describe strategies to educate the public and community leaders on the local and national level to retain or implement fluoridation.
