Across the nation, corporations are waking up to the potential for public-private partnerships to improve health. Phil Marineau has been CEO of several of the nation’s largest and most iconic food and apparel brands including Levi Strauss and PepsiCo NA, giving him a unique perspective on the role that the private sector can and must play in the public’s health. In this session, he will describe how that experience has informed his view of health and his current activities to improve the nation’s health.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am the board chair of The Public Good Projects. In addition, I sit on the board of Kaiser Permanente and am the former CEO of two major companies, Levi Strauss and PepsiCo NA. Thus my experience makes me well suited to speak to the role of the private sector in advancing the public’s health.
