The escalation of gun violence has gripped the nation, particularly when it affects children and youth.  We know how to greatly lessen the scourge of gun violence as we have seen other high-income countries do.  We lack political courage to do so.  This presentation will address gun violence as a public health problem and address the social and political issues that surround this important topic.
