This session will feature six presenters on important late breaking developments in public health. Topics will range from racism and health, to public health issues for homeless people, to effective control of diabetes, to radiation exposure from the 2001 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, to public health issues in New Orleans. A short question-and-answer period will follow each presentation.
Session Objectives: Identify and describe six late breaking developments in public health and describe the role of public health professionals in addressing these issues.
