This presentation will discuss future strategies for advancing performance improvement in the field of public health.  One such strategy includes the potential development of a professional association or society for public health practitioners engaged in performance improvement work.  Over the last year, a study has been conducted including key informant interviews, a nationwide survey, and focus groups, to explore the feasibility of creating a professional association.  The data and implications from this study will be presented.  Participants will be asked to provide their own input.
