The Division of Public Health Performance Improvement of the CDC Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support works to advance U.S. public health agency and system performance to better serve and protect the population. This session explores the current and future state of collaborative activities that support advances made in performance improvement by the public health workforce. This session will increase public health practitioners’ knowledge the following competency areas: performance management, performance improvement, and quality improvement.
Session Objectives: Describe current efforts that support performance improvement work in the public health workforce
Explain lessons learned from the development of a national network of public health performance improvement professionals
Discuss the possibilities for sustaining and advancing the framework of support for the performance improvement public health workforce
