This presentation will describe how the Lagos State Government used its resources to partner with International Organizations, the Federal Government, Local Government and other Faith/Community-Based Organizations in coordinating a public health response to the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease in Lagos, Nigeria

It also addresses the factors that contributed to containing EVD within a short period, as well as, the position of Nigeria relative to other countries in West Africa.

Furthermore, this presentation highlights the challenges of tracing Ebola victims in containing the spread of the disease, and the processes in implementing an Ebola Surveillance and Contact Tracking in Lagos State that covers its 20 Local Government Areas.
