This session will discuss social determinants around incarceration including the role families play during young adulthood to encourage better decision making and behaviors for these easily influenced youth; potential health and social problems they may experience post-incarceration and; discuss new treatment paradigms which might help with re-entry and assessing male behavior in a therapeutic context.
Session Objectives: Describe a methods that could be used to re-engage previously incarcerated males.
Discuss role of parental monitoring in preventing incarceration.
Discuss social stigma of help seeking behaviors for re-entry into society post incarceration.
