This session will explore how Healthy People 2020 used the Social Determinants of Health, Leading Health Indicators, Foundation Health Measures, and other tools and resources to impact health in all policies. We will also look at how these concepts and multiple stakeholders will influence the development of Healthy People 2030.
Session Objectives: Define the key concepts of the Healthy People 2020 Social Determinants of Health framework directly to programs and communities to strengthen services and policies and foster more collaborative approaches.
Explain the importance of critical health and foundational health measures in engaging multiple partners.
List at least one way in which Healthy People tools can influence policy or programs.
Explain the process for integrating the Healthy People initiative across multiple partners and within policies.
