Professionalism within Health Education

Invited speakers will provide timely information about the American Cancer Society's National School Health Coordinator Leadership program, progress in addressing 21st Century goals for health education, articulation of the areas of responsibility and competencies of entry-level and graduate-level health education specialists, examining the effect of credentialling within health education including quality assurance mechanisms for professional preparation programs, clarifying new standards developed to approve teacher education programs by NCATE.

Learning Objectives: Participants will be able to explain several of the new initiatives that are occuring within the health education profession. Participante will be able to describe trends associated with several initiatives currently occuring within the health education profession.
