Health Communications
This session will provide an overview of the critical role of effective communication in health care. Presentations will address the impact of people's health literacy on health outcomes, targeted public health messages for the community, and barriers to effective information exchange between and among health professionals.
Learning Objectives: 1. To recognize the essential role communications play in public health and clinical care today 2. To recognize the critical role of health literacy in the community and strategies for enhancement 3. To identify diverse health care communication vehicles, effective strategies and standards
