Access to Education in Public Health Nursing
To strengthen PHN workforce capacity and leadership, this session will present creative strategies at all levels of nursing education. Presentations will focus on academic-practice collaboration, technological advances, and innovation to facilitate AD-BSN transitions and BSN completion, establish joint degree programs, and improve access to masters and doctoral programs.
Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize barriers to public health nursing education at all levels and the impact on public health leadership 2. Describe strategies for increased access to and seamless experiences in public health nursing education 3. Discuss essential role of collaboration between public health nursing leaders and educators
