Adolescents in Transition
This session will address the unique health challenges associated with adolescents' transition to adulthood. Presentations will explore developmental and lifestyle issues, special health needs, the organization and delivery of health services, and working with families and communities.
Learning Objectives: 1. Discuss issues and interventions with adolescents regarding uprotected sex, pregnancy prevention, and alcohol use and misuse; 2. Describe services, supports and outcomes for adolescents with special health care needs; and 3. Describe community and inter-agency partnerships to achieve desired outcomes
