Essentials in PHN Education
This session describes today's public health workforce needs, and the challenges they pose for nurse educators. Papers will focus on strengthening population-focused education and increasing access to community health care experiences.
Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize the crucial need for population-fccused practice today. 2. Discuss curricular gaps and educational challenges facing nursing; and 3. Identify innovative strategies which increase access to essential knowledge and skills.
