Infant and Child Health: Policy and Practice
Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the key distinctions between cost-effectiveness analysis and cost-benefit analysis applied for a newborn screening. 2. Recognize the potential diversity of conclusions derived from different types of economic evaluations 3. Identify potential risk factors associated with birth defects 4. Suggest methods of exposure assessment for investigating the association 5. List five salient behaviors that can be assessed when observing maternal-child eating episodes 6. Discuss the developmental implications for maternal (primary caregiver) behaviors which faciliate child autonomy in contrast with those that control child autonomy 7. Identify three types of developmentally facilitative behaviors which can be modeled to parents of young children.
