This session will describe the components of the Evidence Champions project and its results. It will introduce the "evidence-based practice and practice-based evidence" model that provided the foundation of the project. It will conclude with lessons learned, best practices identified and implications for advancing evidence-based public health nursing practice.
Session Objectives: 1. Identify the impact of Evidence Championson evidence based practice 2. Describe elements of a continuing education prepare public health nurses for evidence based practice 3. Describe barriers to evidence based practice in health departments 4. Describe promoters to evidence based practice in health departments
