Roundtable
The purpose of this session is to better understand key elements of curricula, as well as the gaps, to help prepare future health professionals for public health careers. The audience will learn about innovative public health professional development programs and promising approaches to expand the pipeline of diverse public health scientists. An important emphasis will be made on sustaining scholar interest over time and how to track career trajectories.
Session Objectives: Describe the design of curriculum targeted towards the integration of public health education with for future public health students and professionals.
Discuss challenges and recommendations for improving health promotion and disease prevention content in the education of pre-health sciences students and health professionals.
