The purpose of this session is to reveal the effectiveness of social media as an important communication tool to disseminate evidence based strategies and public health best practices. Audiences will have an opportunity to learn how to conduct, promote, and evaluate social media engagement and outreach. Promoting health behaviors through mechanisms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media to encourage far-reaching dialog around critical health issues.
Session Objectives: Describe the benefits of incorporating social network platform to promote important public health issues. Discuss the impact of integrating academic learning and professional networking via social media to encourage idea exchange and health communications.
