This session will address the impact of the early years of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on key maternal and children health populations: women and children, adolescents, and children/youth with special health care needs. In addition, a perspective from the community in a state that has not embraced the ACA will be presented. The session will discuss the challenges and achievements of the ACA to date, as well as allow time for participation from the audience on their observations from their local communities and states.
Session Objectives: Identify the challenges that implementation of the ACA has on MCH populations.
Discuss solutions to challenges
Assess how the ACA is impacting various MCH populations
