Roundtable
This session describes the link between community and academic partners to bridge the gap between heath disparities that stem from people’s location. Presentations cover methods to reduce disparities in different populations in the United States, all over the world, different ages and disparities that stems from disasters.
Session Objectives: Discuss different approaches to enhance community-academic collaborations focused on addressing the built environment and describe the role of different organizations (e.g., schools, clinics) in these efforts. Identify opportunities for collaboration and coordination among community-based organizations, residents, and public agencies to advance health and equity through changes in the built environment.
