| The session will explore the erosian of PHN's population-focused education and practice over time and the challenges this poses in addressing present and emerging public health problems. Both educational and workplace strategies will be presented for strengthening public health nursing's workforce capacity. | |||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Identify essential population-focused practice competencies, and srategies for enhancing PHN knowledge and skills 2. Articulate the benefits of academic-practice partnerships in professional development 3. Discuss goals and strategies for improving recruitment and retention of PHN's in practice settings | |||
